She told The Washington Post in January 2008: “It’s so stupid. I started when I was like 22 or 23, and I had my first cigarette at a bar one night, and I was like mmm.
“I’ll try this. I can have just one. I am not gonna get addicted. Then you start bumming. I’m bumming. I don’t buy my own packs. I’m not addicted.
“Then you go through something that is hard or difficult or stressful and you buy your first pack and it’s all over. And now it’s all about how you’re going to quit,” she said.
“I’ve tried everything.”

Kate Moss may struggle to kick the habit, if reports that she keeps up to 100 cigarettes close-by are true.
Britain’s Daily Express reported the fashion model has her personal assistant leave a packet of cigarettes on every table in her house before she goes to bed.
A source said: “Kate has five coffee tables spread between her living room, kitchen, office and bedroom so that’s a lot of cigarettes.”

Reports on the Hollywood Grind suggested Lindsay had tried to kick the habit in October 2007 after she was spotted with nicotine lozenges.

G.I. Joe star Sienna Miller doesn’t seem to be able to quit after a new year’s resolution in 2006 to ditch the habit only lasted 48 hours.
A source told Britain’s Daily Express newspaper: “Sienna makes the same promise every year and breaks the same promise every year. This year she’s broken her record for her shortest ever time as a quitter, as she lasted less than 48 hours.
“She blames stress and needing something to do with her hands as the reasons she just can’t kick the habit.”
