Donskoy Tabak tobacco company has had to withdraw its Sweet Dreams cigarette advertisements that critics said targeted teenage girls.

The ads for Kiss cigarettes used slogan such as “If you’re not allowed, but you really want it, then you can have it!”
The company said it made the decision after the advertisements caused a ‘wide public resonance,” Vedomosti reported. The ads used slogans such as “If you’re not allowed, but you really want it, then you can have it!”
The controversial advertisements caught the public eye after they were posted on AdMe blog, and copied by blogosphere celebrity Alexei Navalny.
However, Donskoy Tabak’s Play and Kiss ranges of cigarettes were also criticised for their promotional campaign, yet it is unclear whether adverts for them will be withdrawn.
