Camel cigarette brand is remembering its 100th anniversary this year and to mark this milestone, Japan Tobacco International is starting a number of limited edition packs for its Premium cigarettes.
Introducing country wide Camel Blue 20s starting 1 June, the specially designed packs will be sold in all cigarette stores during 60 days whilst stocks last. To support this landmark, Japan Tobacco is welcoming retail dealers from across the UK to participate in the celebrations with a competition to get a journey to New York.
To participate in the competition, retail outlets just need to complete an entry form, add three Camel outer barcodes and post them to Japan Tobacco International. The competition entry forms can be seen in selected cash and carrys in June and within the trade press during June and July. Retail stores must give back their completed entry form and barcodes by 31 July in order to win.
Produced for the first time in 1913, Camel is considered a global Premium American Blend cigarette brand and is available in more than 100 nations around the world. Especially well-known within main cities across the UK, Camel presently offers almost 7 million packs yearly in the UK and remains growing its share in the Premium cigarette sector.
Jeremy Blackburn, JTI head of communications, remarks: “Since its release Camel has encouraged creativity the world using innovations throughout its history and most lately, the world’s first and only curve pack.
“The Camel’s present success, coupled with the chance for remarkable profit margins made by Premium cigarettes, makes the new LEPs a must-stock for retail dealers. Camel cigarettes represent 19% volume share of the whole UK cigarette market.
For custom cigarette merchandising and retailing advice to help increase cigarette sales, retailers can communicate with their local JTI representative.
The Camel Blue 20s LEPs have an RRP of £7.98.
